As Walgreens Boots Alliance's innovation partner, Photon works diligently with their leadership to create human-first digital experiences to support their mission of improving the health and wellness of communities across Europe. In April 2019, at the Alphega Pharmacy European Convention, Photon was named Walgreens Boots Alliance Technology Partner of the Year.

Building loyalty and attracting new customers for a local independent pharmacy can be difficult. Photon has leveraged years of digital expertise in pharmacy retail to create a robust mobile app experience for Alphega's network of pharmacies. In doing so, Photon has also unified their independent pharmacies behind the strength of a single Alphega Pharmacy Loyalty Card mobile app program.

The 2019 event showed how the latest innovations can help pharmacies drive growth and build customer trust and loyalty. Over 1,500 delegates attended the convention in Monaco. Photon also had the opportunity to represent its partnership with Walgreens Boots Alliance and Alphega Pharmacy, and their collective focus on driving digital transformation through innovative programs in pharmacy digital technology. This effort was celebrated at the special Awards Dinner held at the convention in Monte Carlo.
With the event's focus on embracing innovation and empowering pharmacies, Photon took home the Walgreens Boots Alliance Technology Partner of the Year award.
